How will you be cared for and who will care for you when you have a critical or terminal health condition?
Who will advocate for your health care wishes when you cannot speak for yourself? What are your desires for the care of your body once you have died? Planning ahead and participating in important conversations about your wishes with family and your physician offers the best chance to receive the care that you desire. Bobbi can provide guidance so you may complete advance care and after death planning documents as well as assisting in facilitating tender conversations with family about your wishes.
MEDICAL AID IN DYING DOULA - $500-$1295
Medical Aid in Dying is legal in 11 states. The Our Care Our Choice act allows for a resident of Hawaii with a terminal diagnosis with less than 6 months to live and deemed mentally competent to make an informed decision to request a prescription for medications they may self-ingest that will end their life.
Bobbi offers a full scope of support for those who choose to take the aid in dying journey. She provides compassionate guidance, education, and hands-on support for the client as well as the family. Understanding what options and resources are available helps people feel in control of their life and of their death. Bobbi will walk side-by-side with the client and family and be in communication with all supporting care providers including the prescribing physician. She assists with facilitating tender conversations about what to expect, provides grief support and helps with role-playing for the chosen day of death so everyone can feel as comfortable as possible with the aid in dying process. HOME FUNERAL GUIDE - $895
Home funerals provide the family with a unique and legal opportunity to honor the life of the beloved at home after death has occurred. As a home funeral guide Bobbi strives to educate families on legal considerations and logistics and empowers the family in making the best possible decisions to create an intimate ceremony of their creation from the simplest service to outrageously elaborate and anything in-between. Bobbi offers support, education, and guidance for these intimate ceremonies and at the same time does not take the place of a licensed traditional funeral director.

Coordinating care for a loved one with a critical or terminal illness can be overwhelming. Especially if you are working, caring for other family members, and doing everything it takes to make day-to-day life run as smoothly as possible. Bobbi can manage schedules for the care team, track health care appointments, as well as other needed appointments, track hours for paid and volunteer caregivers and initiate seamless communication between all members of the care team and family on the status of the patient.

The tender time of active dying as a loved one moves closer to death can be difficult for the family. This is a time when round-the-clock presence keeps the loved one safe and comfortable through the labor of dying. Grief and exhaustion can overwhelm and make it challenging for family to be fully present during this period of time. Bobbi provides additional support for the patient and the family. She provides comfort care and is a gentle presence who keeps family aware of the natural changes that indicate death is nearing as well as what will happen once death has occurred.
